            Glycine Descriptions:  Glycine is a non-essential amino acid that is produced naturally by humans and other organisms as a building block for proteins. It’s appearance is a white, odorless, crystalline powder with a sweet taste. It dissolves readily in water, slightly in ethanol, and hardly in acetone and ethyl ether. It is widely used as the main raw ingredient for flavoring, sweeteners, feed additives for pets, nutritional supplements, amino acid injection solution, herbicide glyphosate, peanut jams and preservatives for fish flakes etc.                   

            Food Grade Glycine Application:    


            1. It is used in flavoring, sweeteners and nutritional supplements.                                

            2. Applied in alcoholic beverages, feed and food production processing in order to improve flavor and taste. It is also used in pickles, sweet sauce, soy sauce, vinegar and juice. Also acts as a stabilizer for cream cheese, margarine, instant noodles, wheat flour, and lard etc.

            3. Plays an important role in anti-corrosion; therefore, it can be used as a preservative for fish production and peanut butter as it can inhibit the breeding of bacillus subtilis and coli.                                

            4. Mainly used as a feed additive to increase the amino acid for poultry and domestic animals especially for pets.

            5. Plating additives, masks the bitter tastes of some hydrolyzed proteins.            








            Pharma Grade Glycine Application:     



            1. Primarily used in amino acid injections as nutritional infusion.            

            2. Can be used as supplementary medicine to treat myasthenia and Duchenne muscular dystrophy.    

            3. Used as an acid-making agent to treat neural hyperacidity and gastric ulcer hyperacidity.     


            Technical Grade GlycineApplications:    


            1. Can be used as a solvent for removing CO2 in the fertilizer industry;                         

            2. Can be used as an intermediate of pesticides, e.g. a key raw material for herbicide glyphosate;                

            3. Can be used as a PH regulator.
